Installation and Daily Maintenance of Roots Pump of Oil Filter


  In the operation, hoisting, installation, use and maintenance of equipment, the correct processing procedures must be strictly followed.

  Once improperly operated, the internal or external transmission parts and driving equipment of the pump may also cause serious damage to the human body. It is strictly forbidden to start the vacuum pump when the intake cover or exhaust cover of the pump and the refueling and discharging ports are dismantled. If we want to check or maintain the moving parts of the pump, we must first completely cut off and lock the control power equipment.

  Higher temperature on the surface of roots pump housing and connecting pipes and accessories may cause injury when human body contacts.

  1.Dismantling and hoisting

  1.If the pump is packed in wooden cases, care should be taken not to touch the shell of the pump when it is unpacked.

  2.If the pump does not have a lifting ring, it must be lifted with hemp rope at the front and rear end caps of the pump or carried by forklift truck.

  2.Installation site:

  Roots vacuum pump should be installed in bright, dust-free and well ventilated buildings.

  The installation environment temperature of Roots vacuum pump is 5-40 C.

  There should be enough room around Roots vacuum pump for routine inspection, maintenance, disassembly and assembly.

  3.Fondation works:

  Roots vacuum pump can be installed on the same rack as the front pump to form a unit and then installed on the concrete foundation. Large pumps can be installed on the cement foundation separately, and the reserved holes of foundation bolts can be watered with concrete.

  According to the weight of Roots vacuum pump and the pressure resistance of foundation, the compressive area and depth of concrete foundation are determined.

  In order to bury foundation bolts in concrete, sufficient voids must be left out according to the location of foundation holes when concrete foundation is poured.

  The base surface must be horizontal.


  Wood frame is made according to the position of bottom foot hole of pump or unit. The foundation bolt is fixed on the wooden frame, placed in the reserved hole, and then concrete is poured into the reserved hole, placed for several days, and the wooden frame is removed after concrete hardening.

  The roots vacuum pump is put on the foundation, the level is calibrated with a level meter, the uneven part is hardened with metal gaskets, the foundation bolts are tightened, and the bottom cracks are filled with cement.

  5. Pipeline installation:

  Notes: If welding slag and other foreign matter enter the pump during pipeline installation, Roots pump and front pump will be met.

  Cause serious damage or damage, once similar situation occurs, the pipeline and pump must be strictly cleaned up.

  There are no foreign bodies such as welding slag and impurities in the intake and outlet gas pipelines, which have sufficient channel capacity.

  A flexible hose should be installed in the connecting pipe between the outlet of Roots vacuum pump and the inlet of the front stage pump to reduce the influence of vibration of the front stage pump on the Roots vacuum pump.

  In order to shorten the pre-pumping time, besides connecting the inlet of the front pump with the outlet of Roots vacuum pump, bypass pre-pumping pipes and valves can also be installed in the general system.

  In order to prevent the return of oil or water when the front pump stops (when the front pump adopts water ring vacuum pump), the exhaust valve or check valve should be installed on the inlet pipe of the front pump.

  The connection flange of the pipeline is sealed with O-type rubber sealing ring and coated with vacuum coke grease. The whole vacuum system must be sealed without leakage.

  If the pipeline is too heavy, it must be properly supported. In order to avoid affecting the normal operation of the pump

  Vacuum pumps equipped with cooling water shall be equipped with adjusting valves on the pipes at the cooling water inlet in order to control the amount of water.

  6. Installation of electrical equipment:

  Roots vacuum pump can only work within the prescribed inlet pressure range. When the current stage pump stops working, Roots vacuum pump must stop working at the same time. Therefore, electrical equipment must have interlocking and necessary automatic overload and overheating protection devices.

  The wiring of the motor must make the steering of the pump in the direction indicated by the arrow.

  Small pumps can start directly. Large pumps should be equipped with starters, such as pressure-reducing starter.
